Quality Assurance

As the Director of Quality Assurance, you will be in a highly visibility position as the face of quality for ElevATE’s customers, suppliers, and internal design and development teams. Reporting to the Vice President of Worldwide Operations, this position will require a highly motivated and flexible individual contributor, as we require it to drive not only the administrative quality activities, but to also ensure product development milestones are well coordinated through a shared services structure with Engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct themselves as the face of Quality for the company; addressing all quality related issues that arise from the customer base, or internal stakeholders. These include customer quality inquiries, RMA’s, manufacturing issues, EOL/PCN letters, and technical collaboration into the design and product teams
  • Manage and drive ElevATE’s ISO9001:2015 infrastructure and processes across the enterprise, maintaining certification, leveraging as a tool for management accountability, continuous improvement, and corporate maturation by driving the ISO/Quality mindset across the organization
  • Own and approve the product qualification plans by partnering with engineering and product teams
  • Deep understanding of Product Engineering, Test Engineering, Test Program and Test Floor Management
  • Accountable to execute yield enhancement and management projects across a portfolio of complicated analog semiconductors, to enhance corporate profitability and supply availability in a dynamic market
  • Drive Operational related quality initiatives with Engineering such as dual source qualifications, site transfers (foundry, assembly, test), design related issues, resolve yield issues, and identify and drive yield enhancements
  • Responsible for Key Performance Indicators: Foundry PCM analysis, RMA elements, product qualifications, manufacturing yield, etc.
  • Maintain Conflict Mineral, ROHS, and other required quality statutory related documentation
  • Completely own tactical RMA processing and management, with internal resource support
  • Own Document Control function and platform, generating new product documents with Engineering, and coordinating corporate level document retention

Required Skills

  • BS in Electrical Engineering in combination with a minimum of 8+ years of progressive professional experience
  • Willingness to work in a role driving both business and technical activities in a shared services environment
  • Work experience as a Quality Engineer, Product Engineer, or Foundry Engineer
  • Knowledge of digital and analog semiconductor circuits, with data analysis of bench and/or ATE data
  • Experience in silicon characterization and system & circuit level troubleshooting
  • Established and proven analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve complex technical problems
  • Full understanding of the semiconductor product development process, and the industry product life cycle.
  • International experience building trusted, technical relationships with external stakeholders
  • Ability to work to schedule and make the required engineering tradeoffs to meet commitments
  • Ability to work a variable schedule to support stakeholder calls in Europe, the US, and Asia time zones
  • Must operate with a continuous improvement mindset, and deliver documented process structure to mature the department, and serve as audit references.

Preferences

  • Semiconductor and PCB experience requested, preferably in fabless semiconductor or electronics space
  • Exposure to high volume and small batch processing is helpful
  • Experience with benchtop or ATE testing is a big plus
  • Understand schematics and debug pc boards
  • Strong math and statistical skills are a plus
  • Understanding of ESD and Latch up in electrical components
  • Strong problem-solving ability
